City of Linden issued the following announcement on Marv16.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: The City of Linden Water Department had to operate several water main valves to isolate a service area in our downtown. Similar to hydrant flushing, this process can stir up iron and sediment in the water system causing water to take on a rusty or discolored appearance. This process does not affect water quality but can cause discoloration. The water is safe to drink, and the discoloration typically disappears within a short time. If you experience discolored water, simply run the cold water tap until the water runs clear. You should also make sure your water is running clear before washing laundry.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact City Offices by phone at 810-735-7980.
