City of Lowell issued the following announcement on Nov 3.

Election results Nov. 2021 

Results are in for the City Council election. Out of 641 ballots cast, Marty Chambers received 435 votes, Leah Marie Groves received 419 votes, James Salzwedel received 400 votes, Jake Davenport received 312 votes and there were 5 write-in votes. This means that Chambers and Groves will serve four year terms and Salzwedel will serve a two year term. The new terms begin when the candidates are sworn in on January 1, 2022. 

Thank you to all four candidates for their dedication to the future of our city that they would put themselves out in public in this manner. Our community is better and continues to improve due to the involvement of residents like you. 

The museum millage passed with 71% of the vote. (454 yes/154 no) Thank you to all the voters who turned out to support the Lowell Historical Museum. As we learn about our past, we can build a better future.
