Women have always been central to the history of health and medicine! This Women’s History Month, we will be highlighting several women who have had a significant impact on public health and medicine.
This week, we are highlighting Cora Reynolds Anderson, a member of the Ojibwa tribe who was the first woman to serve in the Michigan House of Representatives! Anderson also had an interest in public health and organized the first public health service in Baraga County, Michigan.
