City Thanks Chamber of Commerce for Response to Covid

A

At the July 25 meeting of the Fenton City Council, Mayor Sue Osborn thanked leaders from the Fenton/Linden Chamber of Commerce for the organization's efforts during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Receiving a plaque noting the city's gratitude were Chamber Chair Elizabeth Knight, Secretary Dawn Placek and Executive Director Shelly Day.

Fenton Assistant City Manager Michael Hart said the Chamber helped communicate important guidelines and regulations to businesses as information changed throughout the pandemic.

"But perhaps their biggest contribution came in facilitating outreach to the community letting people know about the importance of continuing to support local restaurants and businesses" when many were avoiding that," he said, adding that they also shared information about assistance grants and how to apply for them.
