One of the greatest experiences you will have in the fire service is when you surround yourself with people who love the job !!!
They are the ones that can't stop talking shop; show up early for every shift, training or event the station has. They make the job fun and their energy is contagious, and it spreads like wildfire!! Conversely, we have all worked with people who don't like their job. It's just a part time gig, it's a paycheck or it's an excuse to get out of other commitments. That is a difficult situation and sadly, just as contagious.
Surround yourself with those with the positive energy. Take pride in what you do, pride in your accomplishments & pride in yourself. It truly is a privilege and an honor to serve in fire service.
