City of Saginaw issued the following announcement on Dec 27.

The City of Saginaw is excited to offer residents a new and improved method to view their bills and make payments online.

The City of Saginaw has partnered with InvoiceCloud, an online payment platform, to make online bill payment a more user-friendly experience for water customers. In addition to the previous credit card options, residents can now make online payments using Apple Pay or Google Pay, or by phone or text using a credit/debit card. Customers can also sign up for email and text alerts to notify them when their bill is ready and remind them to pay just before their bill is due. This change will be effective December 28, 2021 and will impact the January billing statements.

Residents will notice a new look when they visit the online bill page on our website at www.saginaw-mi.com/pay . All accounts set up on ACH auto-pay will be automatically enrolled and will experience no interruptions to their scheduled payments. However, any current customer who previously set up their own payment schedule with a custom amount and frequency will need to set up a payment schedule once again using the InvoiceCloud portal in order to avoid payment interruption. The city will be sending email notifications to those customers who will be impacted by this change. Customers should look for an email from wbilling@saginaw-mi.com.

Citizens will notice lower processing fees when using the new InvoiceCloud online portal. There is now no fee for citizens who sign up for Auto Pay Bank Draft (ACH) payments or for those accounts registered for a scheduled recurring payment. City Treasurer Heather Pozenel commented on the improvements, "Last year really highlighted the importance of having multiple, dependable payment options available for our residents," Pozenel said. "We offered the online payment option previously, but we felt we needed to make changes to our online platform to create a more user-friendly experience. 

This new system does just that and puts more payment options at the fingertips of residents. I encourage all residents to contact our Water Billing Department if they have any questions on how to register on InvoiceCloud or visit the webpage to get familiar with the new platform."
