City of Buchanan issued the following announcement on Nov 17.
Youth Hidden History Contest!
Contest date: Contest takes place from Nov. 1-30, 2021. All entries must be received on or before Nov. 30, 2021, to be considered for the essay and art contest.
Winner selection: Submissions will be judged based on creativity, originality, relevance to theme, and for meeting all criteria.
Award amounts:
1st place: $500
2nd place: $300
3rd place: $200
In addition to a financial award, winning entries will be displayed on digital screens at Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph, and the Center for Better Health in Benton Harbor for 30 days (Dec. 27, 2021-Jan. 31, 2022).
Submission deadline: Nov. 30, 2021
