City of Saginaw recently issued the following announcement.
“We open our 20th season as the Saginaw Spirit on Saturday and we’re celebrating, alongside the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra 's concert season opener, with a Riverfront Block Party presented by Covenant HealthCare. There will be the 90-minute Power Play in the Red Room of the Dow Event Center before the game with food and drink specials. You can bring either your Spirit or Symphony ticket to a host of Old Town businesses to get a complimentary beverage before or after the game or concert. There’s a Family Night at Huntington Event Park with face painting, balloons, inflatables, SVRC vendors giving free samples, and a magic show. Morley Plaza will have music and food trucks and picnic tables for people to eat at. Johnson Street will be closed for music, a fire department vehicle and smokehouse on display, street chalk for people to create their own art and more.
We have so much to celebrate here in the City of Saginaw, and everyone coming together on the 16th for this Block Party will be a great way to do that.”
