City of Rockford issued the following announcement on Sept 17.
There is a critical need for blood in our community!
If you are healthy and able, please donate blood at the Rockford Harvest Festival Blood Drive on Saturday, September 25 from 8am-2pm. Versiti will have a bus in the Young Insurance Parking Lot, right next to the car show on Main St.
All attempting donors will receive a limited-edition sickle cell awareness t-shirt and a certificate for a FREE pint of frozen custard from Custard By The Dam as a thank you, while supplies last.
