An Important Message from the City of Linden Fire & Police Departments

First responders police fire

City of Linden issued the following announcement on Sept 17.

An Important Message from the City of Linden Fire & Police Departments:

Fire Chief Will & Linden Fire Personnel, along with Police Chief Sutter & Linden Officers, have been receiving an increased volume of emergent calls on their Non-Emergency Office Phone Lines. The Office Phone Number Lines are not monitored on a continuous 24/7 basis & should ONLY be utilized for general inquiries, as well as general questions during normal City Hall business hours. A message regarding an emergency should NEVER be left on a voicemail!

It is vital that in an emergency situation, you DIAL 911! This is the most efficient way to receive assistance. By dialing 911, the correct department serving your residence & area you are in at the time of call, will be dispatched to your location.

In an emergency, we want to ensure you receive help as soon as possible!  We have provided you with some potential scenarios for when you may dial 911 versus a non-emergency line.
