City of Dexter issued the following announcement on July 24.
The City of Dexter is seeking residents interested in serving on the Dexter District Library Board. The Library Board meets on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 pm. Board members are appointed to four-year terms by the municipalities that founded the Library District. City residents may apply by submitting a letter of interest with their name, address, and contact information to the City Offices at 8123 Main St., 2nd Floor or by e-mail to jbreyer@dextermi.gov.
The Parks & Recreation Commission is seeking two new members. The Commission meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm and is a 9-member commission that is responsible for making recommendations to City Council on the planning and development of City parks. For this board, preference will be given to applicants with education or experience in tree or plant care. To apply, please submit a Committee Application Form to the City Offices at 8123 Main St., 2nd Floor or by e-mail to jbreyer@dextermi.gov.
