Livingston County Health Department issued the following announcement on Nov. 7.
In recent weeks, we have been handling about 56 new cases of COVID-19 each day. This recent increase means that even with our staff working extended hours and weekends, we cannot investigate cases and notify close contacts as quickly as we would like. You might not get a call right away. That's why we need everyone's help to follow isolation and quarantine precautions. As soon as you know you are positive, start isolating. Notify your close contacts, and encourage them to quarantine. If you know you are a close contact, self-quarantine. Following these steps will help lessen the spread to others. We want to thank our staff, and everyone who is working hard in our community to protect others!
