DESCRIPTION
Join the Education Team from President’s Park (White House), Belmont Paul Women’s Equality National Monument and other organizations for a virtual teacher workshop on Civil Rights & The Women's Movement for Equality. Teachers of grades 4-12 will explore conflict and compromise in the struggle for civil rights and women's equality. Learn from historians, authors, and subject matter experts. Participate in hands-on experiences. Review newly developed lesson plans and resources. Virtually visit multiple National Park Service sites and museums to examine civil rights and to learn about the women’s movement that lead to the passage of the 19th Amendment. Hear new ideas, network with your counterparts, and discover ways to enhance your curriculum. Prior registration is required.
