Livingston County Government issued the following announcement on April 10.
Thank you, The Livingston Daily Press & Argus, for shining the spotlight on our incredible EMS department!
Our local public safety responders are doing their very best to keep our community safe. All of our Livingston County Paramedics are truly appreciated.
Paramedic Jack Terpstra reiterated that all of us can do our part to help by staying home. Jack said, "We appreciate [the public] staying home. That is a sacrifice, giving up the life that you would rather live for the safety of the community."
As a Livingston County EMS paramedic Thufe Miah's work days always have a bit of uncertainty to them.
The recent coronavirus outbreak has heightened that uncertainty.
"It's a little crazy, a little hectic. I describe it as organized chaos," Miah, 24, said.
The Fenton resident said protocol is constantly changing as more is discovered about the virus.
