HAMBURG TOWNSHIP ASSESSOR: Census Bureau: More women than men in Caledonia in 2017

Census

Hamburg Township Assessor issued the following announcement on Oct 14.

Of the 1,843 people living in Caledonia in 2017, 50.8 percent (937) were women and 49.2 percent (906) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Michigan Business Daily.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 530-to-529. In the 65 years and over age range, there were 52 females and 42 males.

An agency of the U.S. Federal Statistical System, the Census Bureau is responsible for compiling statistical facts about the American people, places and economy. Data for this story was compiled from the bureau's American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.

Statistical data for 2018 will be released later this year.
