The majority of students in Livingston County districts were white in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Of the 25,019 students attending Livingston County district schools, 91.9% were white. Hispanic students were the second largest ethnic group among Livingston County's districts (3.8%).

In the previous school year, white students were still the most common group in Livingston County, representing 92.1% of the student body.

Charyl Stockwell Academy had the most even distribution of races among the county districts, including 90.7% white students, 3.9% Hispanic students, 3.2% multiracial students, 1.4% African American students, 0.6% Asian students, and 0.2% American Indian students.

In the 2022-23 school year, the total number of students enrolled in school districts in the county dropped 0.6% compared to the previous year.
