City of Saginaw recently issued the following announcement.
"Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital is a whole host of things. Here, there are patients who have significant and serious injuries as a result of an accident or some kind of trauma. Some people have medical issues that hinder their ability to be able to do the kinds of things that they physically need to be able to do and to return to the activities of daily living.
Sometimes, as a result of an accident, it's learning a new way to be able to do something. It could be the result of a stroke and somebody has to relearn things all the way from speech to feeding themselves to being able to walk again.
The medical care gets rendered in the hospital, but after that, there's all the strength and rebuilding that has to happen after that is taken care of. That care requires mind, body, and spirit, as well as depth and support making this is an extraordinary place to be offered that kind of care.
Mary Free Bed is recognized by national publications as being the premier place for rehabilitative medicine. Their partnership with us, an organization who is very independent like they are, who has strength and conviction related to their culture and what they want to do for patients and families, is just a beautiful match. We both want to make a difference here; it’s a partnership that was meant to be.”
