Pinckney Community Schools issued the following announcement on July 10.
Over the years, this community has been very lucky to have various organizations set up for the youth rec and travel baseball thanks to the dedicated hard-working commitment of Pinckney Hamburg Baseball Softball Association (PHBSA), PBC, and multiple great coaches. This has given kids of all ages the opportunity to learn and to play baseball. Moving forward, Pinckney youth travel baseball will be merging all travel organizations to be under one umbrella with PBC. Rec baseball will continue under PHBSA. PBC is under the leadership of the High School Varsity baseball coach, Bill Cortez. Registration will be run through Pinckney Community Education.
PBC offers a fun yet competitive atmosphere. Coaches are focused on player development and helping players develop the necessary fundamentals of baseball so they are able to play at the younger ages as well as into High School and beyond. PBC's program is developed from years of experience coaching baseball beginning at T-Ball all the way through High School. PBC coaching staff will be High School coaches, non-parent coaches (former college baseball players), and volunteers. PBC supports and encourages multisport athletes.
Please see the attached flyer for Pirate Baseball Club (PBC) travel baseball tryouts. Tryouts will be in July and August.
