City of Brighton issued the following announcement on Sept 24.
Fall Leaf Bag Schedule and Instructions
The City of Brighton’s Fall Leaf Bag Collection will begin the week of September 30, 2019. Starting that week, yard waste and leaf bags will be picked up every week on your normal trash pickup day through November 27.
Please store your brown yard waste bags where they are not exposed to heavy rain. Yard waste bags should be stored in the garage or under an overhang. If heavy rain is expected in the evening before your pickup day, we are asking residents to place yard waste bags out in the early morning. Wet, heavy leaves/yard waste can cause collection issues.
In addition to this service, the City will be performing the leaf vacuuming service for residents. It is anticipated that this will begin the week of October 7; however, the schedule and details will be posted shortly.
