Linking for Literacy ― Register Now! 

Learn about the Essential Instructional Practices in Early Literacy PreK and K-3 and explore connections and commonalities. 

Sessions will focus on specific Essential Instructional Practices, and how they look In Real Life (IRL) for both PreK and Kindergarten. 

Opportunities to discuss practices and plan for the implementation of these research-informed instructional practices.

Keynote Speaker, Nell K. Duke’s, work focuses on early literacy development, particularly among children living in poverty. 

Her specific areas of expertise include the development of informational reading and writing in young children, comprehension development and instruction in early schooling, and issues of equity in literacy education. 

Nell has served on the MAISA GELN Early Literacy Task Force since 2015 as one of the primary researchers and developers of the Essential Instructional Practices in Early Literacy PreK and K-3.
